Terms of Service

Terms governing access to and use of the BamGuard Service.

Effective date: 30 July 2026

1. About these Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of bamguard.com, related websites, dashboards, application programming interfaces, integrations, and services (collectively, the “Service”).

By creating an account, starting a trial, purchasing a subscription, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you use the Service for an organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organization.

BamGuard is operated by Leah Alanano, an individual based in the Philippines, under the BamGuard name (“BamGuard”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). Current contact details are stated in the Legal & Contact Information published on the Website.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, legally capable of entering into a binding agreement, and permitted to use the Service under applicable law.

The Service is primarily intended for professional, technical, and business-related use. Individuals may also use the Service where permitted by applicable law.

3. The Service

BamGuard provides monitoring and informational tools relating to certificates, domains, Certificate Transparency observations, ACME activity, and related infrastructure trust signals. Available features, limits, plans, and trial terms are described on the Website and may change over time.

BamGuard is not a certificate authority, security auditor, managed security provider, or certificate renewal service. The Service does not guarantee certificate issuance or renewal, uninterrupted operation, complete or timely detection, or the security of any system.

Features identified as beta, preview, experimental, or coming soon may be changed, restricted, or discontinued without release or continued availability.

4. Accounts and Credentials

You must provide accurate account information and keep it current. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

Passwords, API keys, hook credentials, and other access credentials must be kept confidential and must not be shared outside authorized use. You must notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access or compromise.

You are responsible for the actions of users whom you authorize to access your account or organization.

5. Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • having the necessary rights and authorization to configure, connect, or monitor the relevant domains, systems, and infrastructure;
  • correctly installing and configuring integrations and credentials;
  • protecting, rotating, and revoking credentials when appropriate;
  • reviewing monitoring results and independently verifying important findings;
  • issuing, renewing, deploying, and validating certificates; and
  • maintaining suitable operational, security, backup, and recovery procedures.

6. Acceptable Use

You must not use the Service to:

  • violate applicable law, sanctions, export controls, or third-party rights;
  • engage in fraud, abuse, malicious activity, unauthorized access, or exploitation of vulnerabilities;
  • interfere with, overload, damage, or disrupt the Service or another system;
  • circumvent usage limits, access controls, or security measures;
  • probe or monitor infrastructure without required authorization;
  • introduce harmful code or submit unlawful, deceptive, or abusive content;
  • resell or make the Service available to third parties without our written permission; or
  • reverse engineer the Service except where applicable law expressly permits it.

We may investigate suspected violations and take reasonable protective action.

7. Plans, Trials, and Billing

Current plans, prices, limits, billing periods, and trial terms are shown on the Website or at checkout. Unless stated otherwise, prices are quoted and charged in United States dollars (USD). Taxes, conversion charges, and payment-provider or bank fees may apply.

Payments are processed by the merchant of record identified at checkout, currently Lemon Squeezy. The merchant of record handles payment processing, applicable transaction taxes, invoicing, refunds, and chargebacks and may apply its own terms and privacy notice.

Subscriptions renew automatically for successive billing periods unless cancelled before the renewal date. You authorize the merchant of record to charge the applicable subscription fees and taxes using the selected payment method.

Upgrades may take effect immediately and may be prorated as shown at the time of change. Downgrades generally take effect at the next renewal. Failed or overdue payments may result in restricted access, suspension, or termination.

8. Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel a subscription through the available account or billing controls. Unless applicable law or the checkout terms require otherwise, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period and access continues until then.

Except where required by applicable law or determined by our merchant of record, subscription fees are non-refundable and no prorated refunds or credits are provided for unused subscription periods.

Any mandatory cancellation, withdrawal, refund, or consumer remedy available under applicable law remains unaffected.

9. Service Changes, Suspension, and Termination

We may modify, replace, restrict, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Service where reasonably necessary for security, legal, operational, or commercial reasons.

We may suspend or terminate access for non-payment, material or repeated breach of these Terms, suspected fraud or malicious activity, security risk, legal requirements, or conduct that may harm the Service or others.

You may stop using the Service at any time. After termination, data may be deleted or retained as described in the Privacy Policy and as required for legal, accounting, security, or dispute-resolution purposes.

10. Customer Information and Monitoring Data

You retain any rights you have in information that you submit to the Service. You grant us a limited right to host, process, transmit, and otherwise use that information as necessary to provide, secure, administer, and support the Service.

Some monitoring information is obtained from public or third-party sources. BamGuard does not claim ownership of public Certificate Transparency records or other third-party information.

You should not submit sensitive personal information or confidential content unless it is necessary for the intended use of the Service.

11. Intellectual Property

The Service, software, design, documentation, trademarks, and related materials are owned by BamGuard or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Subject to these Terms and payment of applicable fees, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable right to use the Service for its intended purpose.

Feedback may be used by BamGuard without restriction or compensation, provided it does not identify you or disclose your confidential information.

12. Third-Party Services

The Service may depend on or link to third-party services, data sources, networks, or software. Their availability, accuracy, security, and terms are outside our control.

We are not responsible for failures, changes, or acts of third-party services, except to the extent responsibility cannot lawfully be excluded.

13. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Monitoring results may be delayed, incomplete, inaccurate, duplicated, or unavailable. You must not rely on the Service as the sole basis for security, compliance, certificate renewal, or operational decisions.

Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BamGuard will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, revenue, business, goodwill, data, availability, or anticipated savings.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BamGuard’s total aggregate liability arising from or relating to the Service or these Terms will not exceed the greater of (a) the fees paid for the Service during the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) USD 100.

These limitations do not apply to fraud, wilful misconduct, or any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

15. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Before starting formal proceedings, you and BamGuard should attempt in good faith to resolve the matter through the contact details stated in the Legal & Contact Information.

Subject to any mandatory rights or jurisdiction available under applicable law, disputes will be submitted to the competent courts of the Philippines.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified through the Website, dashboard, email, or another reasonable method before they take effect where required.

Continued use after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes acceptance where permitted by law. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service and cancel any subscription before the changes take effect.

17. General

If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a business transfer or reorganization.

These Terms, the Privacy Policy, the Legal & Contact Information, and any plan-specific terms shown at checkout form the agreement governing the Service.

18. Contact

Questions, complaints, and legal notices may be submitted to contact@bamguard.com or through the contact options available on the Website. Postal details are stated in the Legal & Contact Information.
